FUNIMATION'S FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST WINS FIVE AWARDS AT THE INAUGURAL AMERICAN ANIME AWARDS

FUNimation Entertainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Navarre Corporation and the market share leader for home video sales of Japanese animation in the United States, and Square Enix Co., Ltd., developer, publisher and distributor of entertainment with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, announced today that their FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST® series took home five awards from the inaugural American Anime Awards at the New York Comic Con. The FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST series won Best Long Series, Best Cast, Best DVD Package Design, Best Actor (Vic Mignogna) and Best Anime Theme Song ("Rewrite," by Asian Kung-Fu Generation).

"These awards are a great testament to the popularity of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST in the United States," says Gen Fukunaga, president and CEO of FUNimation Entertainment. "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST had a great year in the United States, and we would like to thank our U.S. fans and our Japanese business partners for making this series such a great success."

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST is a series that was created in Japan by Square Enix, Bones and Aniplex. FUNimation Entertainment is the master licensor for the series in the United States.

"FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST is one of our most popular franchises in Japan," says Koji Taguchi, Corporate Executive of Square Enix Co., Ltd. and FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST Executive Producer for Square Enix Co., Ltd. "We're so happy the series has become such a hit with the anime audience in America, and wish for its continued success."

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST takes place in a world where alchemy is an accepted part of life with one simple rule of "equivalent exchange" - to gain something, something of equal value must be lost. The series follows 15-year-old Edward Elric, a prodigy known as the "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST." Due to an experiment gone wrong when they were younger, Edward and his brother Alphonse paid a heavy price for disobeying the natural laws of science. Now the brothers are on a quest of the utmost importance: to find the fabled Philosopher's Stone.

The FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST series is one of the top-rated anime series on television, and the sales of its DVDs have led the U.S. anime industry. Fukunaga explains that according to an analysis of Nielsen Video Scan data, all 13 volumes of the FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST series and the FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST movie were ranked in the Top 50 of the bestselling anime DVDs in the United States for 2006. "Basically, the FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST DVDs accounted for 28% of the Top 50 bestselling anime DVDs in the United States," continued Fukunaga.

This year was the inaugural year for the American Anime Awards. The awards are designed to honor the best in anime as voted on by anime fans nationwide. This year's event was held at the New York Comic Con on February 24, 2007.

SQUARE ENIX LICENSES EPIC GAMES' UNREAL ENGINE 3

Square Enix has built its highly successful franchises such as FINAL FANTASY®, DRAGON QUEST® and KINGDOM HEARTS by pushing game consoles to their limits and providing unparalleled user experiences for more than 20 years. This was achieved through the company's proprietary technologies, which were mostly optimized for each game given the limited resources of game consoles. However, in order to ensure both game quality and development efficiency for next-generation game systems including consoles, PCs and network titles, Square Enix is now building a technology platform to be used throughout the company utilizing proprietary technologies as well as introducing third-party solutions such as Unreal Engine 3.

About Unreal Engine 3

The award-winning Unreal Engine is known for cutting-edge graphics and a best-of-breed toolset. UnrealEngine 3 is expected to maintain those features while adding massive world support, multi-processor support, next-generation console optimizations, and one of the most mature tool pipelines in the industry. Unreal Engine 3's new toolset is designed specifically to accelerate developers' productivity for ultra-complex, next-generation content. Final Fantasy VI (Prelogue)

Final Fantasy VI is worlds apart from most games, setting the standards for roleplaying games. Leaving such an impression on the gaming world is not easily accomplished, but Final Fantasy VI makes it look so easy. From the opening minutes, Final Fantasy VI brings the gamer into its world. Final Fantasy VI's story, one of mystery and intrigue, grasps the gamer right from the start of the game. Coupled with luscious graphics and amazing music, Final Fantasy VI's opening is truly memorable as two armed soldiers lead an enslaved girl through the bitter winter snowfield, in attempts to acquire a frozen Esper. Just how does this frozen Esper directly relate to this enslaved girl's past, present, and future? The answers are found throughout the game. And up until the game's close, you'll ponder these same questions, as Square does a remarkable job at keeping Final Fantasy VI's plot intriguing through the entire game. This is only possible because of Final Fantasy VI's cast of characters, both playable and not. Final Fantasy VI forces the gamer to empathize with each hero and to hate each villain. There are many characters that will join you along the way, and each one has a unique story to tell. Meet Edgar, ruler of a kingdom, whose fate was determined by the flip of a coin. Cyan, a noble warrior and loyal father, whose own kingdom he takes the ultimate responsibility for. Celes, a general in the evil empire's army. Locke, a thief after the world's greatest treasures. In addition to these characters, there are many, many more that each hold a vital responsibility in the world's fate.
Throughout the game, each character's story is unfolded through touching music and powerful dialog. Final Fantasy VI's music, composed by Nobuo Uematsu, is possibly the greatest musical score in video game history. Tracks such as "Awakening" and "Aria de Mezzo Carattere" highlight some of the best works from the soundtrack. There are over fifty tracks found throughout the game, and nearly each one is absolutely incredible.
